Steven Anderson MD

Dr. Steven Anderson is Chief Scientific Officer at Covance. In his position as CSO, he is responsible for the development and implementation of scientific strategies in various business segments at Covance and discusses this with the scientific teams in the early development, central aborbs, clinical development, market access and LabCorp diagnostics. Before working as a CSO at Covance, he held various scientific, technical, and operational positions within the LabCorp organization. During his 25 years of work at LabCorp, these positions included the Operations Director at the Center for Molecular Biology and Pathology (CMBP), operations manager at ViroMed Laboratories, operations manager at Monogram Biosciences, operations manager at Integrated Oncology and Genetics, National Director of Research and Development, Studies at LabCorp. Dr. Anderson is a member of various professional associations, including the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Association for Molecular Pathology. His research interest is in the development and implementation of molecular diagnostics, including several current examples of companion diagnostics currently used in patient management. He wrote more than 175 articles from which extracts were published in trade journals, such as Genetics, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Clinical Chemistry, the Journal of Infectious Diseases, Human Pathology, the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Oncogenes Institutes, Clinical Cancer Research, Breast Cancer Research, BMC Cancer, the Journal of Molecular Diagnostics,
