Steven is a proven leader with oversight of all clinical, financial, strategy, executive leadership development, quality care, financial performance, business development, census growth, physician recruitment/relations, risk mitigation and contracting for acute behavioral health (BH) specialty hospitals, RTC’s, Therapeutic Day Schools, PHP, IOP, OP and contract services. He positions his organizations and protects/grows market share. He elevated his organizations to be flagships within UHS & IL. He significantly expanded the system’s and created an expansive continuum of care. He diversified the payer mix and positively impacted the fiscal performance. He became the Group CEO of 2 hospital systems in 2016 – a 248-bed system - the largest BH system under one CEO in IL and is the longest serving CEO for both locations.

Steven has served in various executive capacities including serving as Regional Vice President, with experience overseeing psychiatric and substance abuse operations spanning over 3 states with approximately 12 operations. His 20+ years in the behavioral health industry includes various administrative and clinical roles. Steven's experience includes start ups, mergers/acquisitions, turnarounds, onboarding, and overseeing hospital construction projects.
