Stephen R. Veach MD, FACP

Dr. Stephen Veach is currently the senior medical oncologist at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of cancers, although he has a special interest in unknown primary tumors and lung cancer. In addition, Dr. Veach is an Associate Clinical Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago, Illinois. He served as an intern at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago and then in Flight Surgery at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, Florida. He continued his residency and fellowship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland in internal medicine and hematology/oncology. Three years after completing his fellowship he became the head of the National Naval Medical Center’s Oncology Division.
