Stephen Kaplan MPH, MD

Dr. Stephen J. Kaplan, MPH, MD is a Surgical Intensivist at the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. He is board-certified in Surgery. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson and his Master of Public Health at The University of Arizona. His interests include geriatric trauma outcomes, surgical education, and the effect social determinants of health have on access to surgical care. He has methodological and statistical expertise in observational research.
