Stephen Hugh Crouch MD

Dr. Crouch is the Medical Director for Care Management at Advocate Health Care located in Downers Grove, IL. He has the accountability for Physician Advisor, Utilization Management, and Clinical Documentation Improvement activities for Advocate Aurora Health. His role is critical to ensure physician support across the enterprise and to provide guidance to attending physicians so they can make informed decisions regarding the appropriateness of hospitalization, continued to stay, and use of resources for patients. Further, he serves as a resource regarding state and federal utilization and quality regulations.

Dr. Crouch received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and completed his residency in emergency medicine at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Crouch is board certified in emergency medicine and continues to work in the emergency department at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital.
