Dr. Schwartz serves as Associate Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine and has acted as medical director for the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at Naples since its opening in 2004.
He is a graduate of Cornell University, New York University School of Medicine and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Dr. Schwartz completed residency training at New York University and fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He serves on the Board of Governors of Prevent Blindness Florida and is currently participating in the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Leadership Development Program. Dr. Schwartz lives in Naples, Fla., with his wife, Melanie, and three children.
