Stephen Reicher is a social psychologist focused on social identity processes and collective behavior. Reicher has published widely on crowd action, leadership, nationalism, intergroup hatred, conformity and the psychology of tyranny. He has been consultant to a wide range of bodies, including police agencies, the Equalities and Human Rights Commission, and the Scottish and UK governments, on a range of topics from social inclusion to behavior in emergencies to public order policing.
