Stephen D. Pickett PhD

Dr. Stephen Pickett is a Scientific Director within the Computational Sciences department, based in Stevenage. He has a degree and Ph.D. in Chemistry and over 25 years’ experience in computational chemistry and cheminformatics applied to drug discovery at Rhone Poulenc, Roche and GSK. Since joining GSK in 2001 he has been involved in a number of initiatives including screening collection design, HTS data analysis, compound attrition, fragment-based drug discovery and, most recently, has been developing the science and platforms for automated molecule generation and design. He is an author of over 50 peer-reviewed scientific articles and is a named author on six patent applications. In 2016 he was elected a GSK Fellow.
