Stephen Butler is a Mental Health Clinical Nurse Educator at Mildura Base Hospital. Stephen completed his Bachelor of Nursing (Mental Health) at LaTrobe University and went on to complete his Bachelor of Nursing (General Nursing) at Flinders University. Stephen has completed a Masters of Mental Health and Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education. His main clinical areas have been inpatient psychiatry and aged, child and adolescent and dual diagnosis community mental health, with the last 18 years focusing on clinical education and teaching roles. As a parent of a child with a severe peanut allergy, Stephen has a keen interest in education and support of Anaphylaxis. He brings the lived experience of a care giver and has provided community education and school policy support in Anaphylaxis, its resources and practical training in auto-injectors.
