Stephen Alan Kennedy MD, FRSCS

Dr. Stephen Kennedy, MD, FRCSC, is a board-certified surgeon at Harborview and Northwest Primary and Specialty Care and a UW assistant professor of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and an adjunct assistant professor of Surgery. Dr. Kennedy treats traumatic sports and workplace injuries, arthritis, nerve problems, masses, cysts, tumors, and tendon problems. He strives to create active partnerships with his patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Dr. Kennedy earned his M.D at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. His clinical interests include hand, wrist and elbow trauma, elbow instability, stiffness, arthritis and deformity, carpal tunnel syndrome and arthroscopy of wrist and elbow. His research interests include outcomes in hand and upper extremity trauma, advances in joint reconstruction surgery, technology for the improvement of patient care and advances in methods in surgical education.
