Stephanie Schneider

Miss Dr. med. Stephanie Schneider is a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics. As an additional qualification, she has the specialization in gynecological oncology. She has been working in the department of gynecology and gynecological oncology since July 2012 (director Prof. Dr. A. du Bois). After two years as a medical specialist, she was appointed Senior Physician in February.
During her studies Dr. med. Schneider completed her doctoral thesis on the use of positron emission tomography in cardiology diagnostics and completed her doctorate in 2006. After one year of assistant medical work in the canton of Lucerne (Switzerland), Dr. med. Schneider in the St. Elisabeth Hospital in Cologne-Hohenlind. As part of the specialist training, the focus was particularly on minimally invasive surgery. Tailor in the local breast center (2006-2012). The focus of the present activity in the Hospital Essen Center is the operative therapy of gynecological malignancies. Special interest remains in laparoscopic surgery.
