Dr. Stephanie Crewe, MD, MHS, has significant experience and expertise in adolescent sexual & reproductive health, including the management of menstrual disorders, sexually transmitted infections, and contraception. Professional interests also include juvenile justice, confidentiality in health care, health behavior change, and racial/ethnic health disparities. She serves as a faculty preceptor to medical students, residents in pediatrics, combined medicine/pediatrics, and internal medicine.
She has given local, regional, and national presentations related to adolescent confidentiality, adolescent physical and psychosocial development, contraception, sexual & reproducitve health for special populations, adolescent immunizations, and communicating effectively with adolescents. Using a combination of clinical experience and public health training, Dr. Crewe has developed a unique window through which to view adolescent health, particularly among urban youth. She strives to enhance the provision of confidential health services to adolescents, promote adolescent health as a crucial public health priority, and further elucidate the dynamics between adolescent risk behaviors and adverse health outcomes.
