Stephane Meunier PhD

Dr Stephane Meunier is the founder and CEO of HALLURA, a medical device company developing the next generations of implantable hydrogels for aesthetic medicine and other medical applications. Dr Meunier has nearly 20 years of professional experience in R&D and innovation. He started his career as a research associate in Prof M.G. Finn laboratory at the Scripps Research Institute (California, USA) and as a Medicinal Chemist for GlaxoSmithKline (Paris, France). He then joined academic research as a permanent researcher for 5 years at CNRS (Strasbourg, France). Prior to HALLURA, Dr Meunier acted as R&D director for Teoxane for 8 years, during his tenure he was in charge of research, product and clinical development.

Dr Meunier research interests have been organic synthesis, antioxidants, molecular biology, virus capsids modification, nanotechnologies, carbon nanotubes, hyaluronic acid modification, dermal fillers and bioactive hydrogels. Dr Meunier received Masters degrees from ESPCI and University of Paris IV (France) and a Doctorate of Chemistry from the University of Paris XI (France). He is the author of 37 articles in peer-reviewed journals and inventor of 12 patents.
