Interventional cardiologist since 2005, she began her career under the mentorship of Pr Jean Marco. In 2005, she won the Prix de la Société Française de Cardiologie for the best doctoral thesis supervised by Pr Steg.
Currently, Dr. Stéphane Manzo-Silberman is a full-time Hospital Practitioner Interventional Cardiologist at the Institute of Cardiology at Hôpital de la Pitié-Salpêtrière, APHP, Sorbonne University in Paris. Her main area of clinical research is coronary heart disease in women. She led the first French Metaregistry bringing together more than 16,600 patients and analyzing the details of delays in treatment and the more severe prognosis of women in STEMI. She participated in the EAPCI Expert Consensus Document on Ischaemia with Non-Obstructive Coronary Arteries in Collaboration with the European Society of Cardiology Working Group on Coronary Pathophysiology & Microcirculation Endorsed by Coronary Vasomotor Disorders International Study Group.
Recently, Dr. Stéphane Manzo-Silberman led the WAMIF study, a systematic descriptive analysis integrating morphological, clinical, and biological parameters, particularly hormonal and immunological, in women under 50 with myocardial infarction. She is also involved in the reflection in order to overcome gender discrimination in the interventional career; she promoted the initiative of Interventionn'Elles, a group of French interventional cardiologists.
