Stephan Davis DNP, MHSA, RN, FACHE, NEA-BC

Stephan is the executive director of professional practice and standards at University of Miami Hospital. Prior to joining the UM system, Dr. Davis held leadership positions for hospitals and health insurance companies in New York City, where he also served on the board of directors for APICHA Community Health Center, a federally qualified health center. In addition, Dr. Davis served as an adjunct faculty member with the City University of New York, where he taught courses in health policy, leadership and management.

He holds a doctorate of nursing practice in executive leadership from Yale University and a master’s degree in health systems administration from Georgetown University. Dr. Davis is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and serves on the board of the South Florida Healthcare Executive Forum. He was also appointed by ACHE’s chairman to serve on the inaugural governance committee of the organization’s new LGBT forum. Dr. Davis holds board certification as an advanced nurse executive and has been deemed a content expert for the nurse executive specialty with ANCC.
