Stella Hornby MA, MB BChir, FRCOphth, MD

Miss Stella Hornby MA (Cantab) MB BChir FRCOphth MD studied at Clare College Cambridge, carried out prize-winning research into blindness in children in India and completed her training in 2003. She specialises in diagnosis and management of emergency eye conditions and primary care ophthalmology in hospital and community settings. Her job is best described as being 'like a GP for eyes'.

She leads the Eye Emergency team, is a member of the local Eye Services redesign team and the local Eye Health Professional network. She is the primary care representative on the RCOphth Professional Standards Committee and has an 'Excellent Teacher Award' from the Medical Sciences Division of the University of Oxford.
