Steffanie A. Strathdee BSc, MSc, PhD

Dr. Steffanie Strathdee, Ph.D., is Director of the UC San Diego Global Health Initiative. She is a Harold Simon Professor, and Chief of the Division of Global Public Health in the Department of Medicine, where she leads a research and training program focusing on infectious diseases of global health importance. Dr. Strathdee is Associate Dean for Global Health Sciences and is thereby responsible for providing leadership in all matters pertaining to global health within UC San Diego Health Sciences for the Global Health Initiative, including research, education, training, faculty recruitment, strategic planning, fundraising, and partnerships. Dr. Strathdee is also the Co-Director of the International Core of the UC San Diego Center for AIDS Research (CFAR).
