Dr. Zeris is a staff psychiatrist in the Adult Psychiatry Clinic at HCMC. He completed medical school at Penn State University. He then went on to complete his residency training at the University of Washington, in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in Seattle, Washington. He trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for chronically suicidal persons and individuals with borderline personality disorder and provides DBT informed psychopharmacologic treatment at HCMC.

Dr. Zeris has a special interest in end of life care for individuals with mental illness and works with the Palliative Care Team here at HCMC. He has developed a peer reviewed End of Life Psychiatric Care Curriculum for the University of Washington Psychiatry Residency Program and has lead case conferences with palliative care, pastoral care, and psychiatry during his training. He especially enjoys teaching medical students, residents and working on inter disciplinary teams and is thus, very excited to be working at HCMC.

Dr. Zeris is committed to providing compassionate evidence based psychiatric care in a collaborative relationship with consumers of mental health care with a focus on recovery from mental illness. Dr. Zeris is dedicated to working with disenfranchised groups, specifically, individuals who suffer from schizophrenia, severe mood disorders, borderline personality disorder, and others who live with chronic mental illness.
