Dr. Srinadh Komanduri is an internationally recognized expert in advanced endoscopy and Barrett's esophagus. He serves as the Medical Director for the GI Lab and Director of Interventional Endoscopy. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts in Gastroenterology and serves as the course director for one of the largest endoscopy courses in the country, Chicago Live. Dr. Komanduri is co-chair of the American Gastroenterological Association's Center for GI Innovation and Technology and is at the forefront of innovation in the field. He also works extensively for the American Society of Gastroenterology pioneering new avenues for education in endoscopy. Dr. Komanduri also serves as the Director of Endoscopic Training at Northwestern Simulation, working to enhance simulation and training for gastroenterologists and surgeons nationally and internationally.

Dr. Komanduri's research is focused on outcomes of advanced endoscopy (EUS and ERCP), Barrett's esophagus, and endoscopic training and simulation. Dr. Komanduri is a Professor of Medicine and Surgery at Northwestern Medicine and has authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles in Gastroenterology. He has published extensively on endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and endoscopic therapy for Barrett's Esophagus. Dr. Komanduri's focus on education and training in endoscopy is second to none. He has mentored over 50 residents, fellows, and students for over 15 years. He has been recognized many times with faculty teaching awards selected by the division chief and trainees. He serves as course director for Chicago Live, one of the largest Gastroenterology courses in the country. This CME-accredited event has educated over 2000 endoscopists over the last 10 years. Dr. Komanduri works closely with the gastroenterology societies and has directed many courses over the last 15 years for the AGA, ASGE, and ACG.

Dr. Komanduri is an interventional endoscopist performing cutting-edge endoscopic procedures for pancreaticobiliary disease, Barrett's esophagus, large colon polyps, and early gastrointestinal malignancies. He is a nationally recognized expert in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), management of pancreatitis and pancreatic fluid collections, and endoscopic therapy for Barrett's esophagus. He is a leader in innovation in advanced endoscopy.
