Spyridoula Tsetsou, MD is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery and a Neurointensivist at the Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Tsetsou also serves as the Director of Critical Care Intraoperative Monitoring.

Greek in origin, she was educated at the University of Athens School of Health Sciences in Greece and completed her neurology residency and EEG/epilepsy fellowship at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. She completed a Neurocritical care fellowship at The Mount Sinai Hospital and Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard University. She is also further trained in clinical and basic research.

Dr. Tsetsou is an expert in the treatment of neurological emergencies such as status epilepticus, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and neurotrauma, as well as in clinical and intraoperative neurophysiology. Her research centers on coma prognostication, recovery after cardiac arrest and stroke, multimodal neuromonitoring, and neurogenetics.
