Soren Jepsen

rof. Jepsen is Director and Chairman of the Department of Periodontology, Operative and Preventive Dentistry at the University of Bonn, Germany. Previously he was Assistant Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at the University of Hamburg and later Associate Professor in the Dept. of Conservative Dentistry and Periodontology at the University of Kiel.

He received his Dental and his Medical Degree from the University of Hamburg in 19981 and 1986 and a MS in Periodontology from Loma Linda University, California, USA, in 1992. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He has served on the board of the German Society of Periodontology and the European Federation of Periodontology. Prof. Jepsen became elected member of Leopoldina (German National Academy of Sciences) in 2005. He has lectured and published extensively and is member of the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Periodontology, Perio, Clinical Oral Implants Research and the European Journal of Oral Implantology.
