Sophie Schirmer PhD

Dr. Sophie is an Associate Professor in Physics in the College of Science at Swansea University and currently hold a Royal Society Leverhulme Trust Senior Fellowship. Prior to joining Swansea in 2011, I was based in the Dept of Applied Maths and Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge for many years, after obtaining a PhD from the University of Oregon in 2000 and spending two years as a post-doctoral fellow at the Open University.
