Sonja Dieterich PhD, MBA

Sonja Dieterich, Ph.D. is a Professor and Physics Residency Co-Director at the University of California, Davis. She also holds an adjunct faculty appointment at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She entered Medical Physics in 2002 at Georgetown University when SRS/SBRT was undergoing a rapid expansion into clinical practice. Developing quality assurance procedures and protocols as well as understanding small field dosimetry became the emphasis of her career. Since joining UC Davis, she has expanded her research into EPID-based treatment delivery QA in Radiation Oncology and using natural language processing for decision support. She also is a member of the medical Physics Oral Board Exam Committee for the American Board of Radiology.
