Sondra Davis, Pharm.D., BCPS, earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Midwestern University College of Pharmacy in Glendale, Arizona, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington. Dr. Davis has recently been appointed for the 2017-2018 term to the ASHP Section of the Inpatient Care Practitioners Advisory Group on Pharmacy Practice Experiences.

Medical City Arlington is a 382-bed full-service, acute care hospital in South Arlington serving Arlington, Mansfield, Grand Prairie, and other cities in North Texas. A Level III Trauma Center, Medical City Arlington was the first certified Chest Pain Center and the first certified Primary Stroke Center in Tarrant County and a top performer in heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical care as designated by The Joint Commission. As the official hospital of the Texas Rangers, Medical City Arlington provides high-quality orthopedic services and is known for cancer, neurosurgery, spine, and gastrointestinal care. Dr. Davis has been pivotal in starting a new residency program, which accepted its first resident in 2017. In addition, she represents the pharmacy department and provides clinical expertise on medications for multiple committees at Medical City Arlington including stroke, sepsis, and critical care. Dr. Davis has also been an integral part of the antimicrobial stewardship committee where she and her team developed education for the hospital staff as well as for patients. Dr. Davis is an adjunct assistant professor in the department of pharmacotherapy at the University of North Texas System College of Pharmacy where she has provided lectures to pharmacy students and serves on the curriculum committee. Recently, Dr. Davis has published multiple manuscripts and is currently involved in prospective research.
