Sonal Ambegaokar BS

Sonal Ambegaokar is a Senior Customer Experience Manager at Social Interest Solutions (SIS), whose mission is to improve access to quality health and social services through technology and policy solutions. In this role, Sonal provides policy research, analysis, technical assistance, and thought leadership. Her scope of work includes policy and implementation efforts related to modernizing and streamlining eligibility and enrollment in health coverage programs under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Medicaid, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and other health and social services programs.

Sonal has more than 15 years of experience as a health policy advocate at the federal, state and local levels. She has provided direct legal assistance to low-income consumers and is a national leader on the intersection of health and immigration policy. Prior to coming to SIS, Sonal held senior positions at the National Health Law Program, the National Immigration Law Center, and Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County. She also worked for seven years as a business analyst in the telecommunications industry. Sonal holds a bachelor’s of science from the University of Southern California and a juris doctorate from the University of California, Davis School of Law.
