Soldano Ferrone PhD, MD

Soldano Ferrone, Ph.D. is a Professor-in-Residence at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is board certified by Surgery. He received his MD and Ph.D. degrees in 1964 and in 1971 respectively from the University of Milan Milan Italy. He is interested in characterizing the molecular basis and the clinical significance of HLA antigen defects in malignant cells. In addition, He is interested in developing novel tumor antigen-specific monoclonal antibody-based strategies which target both cancer-initiating cells and differentiated cancer cells. He uses melanoma, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, and triple-negative breast cancer.
