Smriti Shrestha MBBS, MD

Dr. Smriti Shrestha is a certified Dermatologist at Kathmandu University Dhulikhel Hospital. She completed her MD degree from Kathmandu University in 2014. She is a mother of two beautiful kids and the wife of a Pediatrician. Professionally, she pursued her passion for aesthetics and got trained in aesthetic surgery at Nanjing Medical University(NMU), China in 2017. Her journey to China is interesting and astounding at the same time, as she visited there during the sixth month of pregnancy all alone. You will find her struggle with the language and food in her personal blog. On the brighter side, she learned her current favorite procedure Fat grafting under Professor Dr. Shen Gen, head of the department of the aesthetic plastic surgery unit at NMU. She also learned blepharoplasty and liposuction during that course.

She has received a full scholarship to attend the “Principles of STI/HIV course” at the University of Washington, Seattle in 2015. In 2016, she won an awarded paper in lasers for management of warts in the aesthetic conference in India. In 2018, she received a fellowship in Lasers and Cutaneous Surgery at the Institute of Dermatology Bangkok.

Currently, she is practicing in an academic setup with an excellent team. She excels in hair transplantation, lasers, fat graft, botox, peels, PRP, and general dermatology. She is a regular writer in the leading health magazine of the country “SwasthyaKhabar”. She also has international articles and write-ups on skin diseases and aesthetics. Besides, she is an enthusiast of English literature.
