Sir Bruce E. Keogh KBE, FRCS, FRCP

Sir Bruce is one of the United Kingdom’s leading medics and currently serves as Chair of Birmingham Women’s and Children’s National Health Service (NHS) Foundation Trust. Sir Bruce recently concluded 10 years of service as NHS England’s National Medical Director where he oversaw the leadership, quality, and innovation of healthcare throughout the UK. Prior to becoming the senior medic in the NHS, Sir Bruce enjoyed a distinguished career as a cardiac surgeon, working as a consultant cardiac surgeon at University Hospitals Birmingham before becoming Director of Surgery at the Heart Hospital and Professor of Cardiac Surgery at University College London. Additionally, as the program’s founder chair, Sir Bruce has deep relationships with member companies of the NHS Innovation Accelerator program.
