Siobhan Cavanaugh is a health policy and patient advocacy executive with experience in government, pharmaceutical, non-governmental and consulting organizations. She began her career in healthcare as an analyst with Price Waterhouse Coopers and moved to the Ministry of Health, Ontario Canada where she worked in Corporate and Legislation Policy covering a range of policy issues including drug benefit reform, out-of-country health insurance reform, international children's rights to health care, and privacy of personal health information. Between 1998-2008, Siobhan held a number of roles of increasing responsibility with Merck Frosst Canada, and Merck & Co. Inc. in health & industry access policy, marketing, and as SVP of The Merck Company Foundation.
From 2012-2018 Siobhan led Mylan's Patient Advocacy team responsible for strategic and tactical planning and implementation of programs to advance awareness of access to medicines aligned with Mylan's therapeutic branded and generic growth drivers. She's won numerous awards for her work. Areas of expertise include: strategic planning & implementation, advocacy and coalition development, health/pharmaceutical policy development and analysis, strategic philanthropy, marketing health products. Siobhan is also an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society and Closing the Gap (Canada). She is a citizen of Canada, Ireland, and the United States of America.
