Prof. Dr. Simone Dohle has been a Professor of Health and Risk Communication in Family Medicine at the Institute of Family Medicine since April 2022. She studied psychology at the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg and received her doctorate from the University of Zurich in 2010. After completing her doctorate, she conducted research as a postdoctoral researcher and senior assistant at the Department of Health Sciences and Technology (D-HEST) at ETH Zurich. She then moved to the Psychology Department at the University of Cologne as an academic advisor, where she completed her habilitation in 2018. Before she accepted the call to the University of Bonn, she was a substitute professor for medical psychology at the University of Bielefeld. Her research focuses on health and risk communication, self-regulation and motivation, health-related behavioral changes, medical decision-making, and digital health.
