Simone Collis

Simone Collis has been a Registered Nurse for many years. During the course of her work, Simone could not ignore the growing number of people that she cared for who had diabetes. This drove her to complete graduate studies in diabetes at Curtin University, to help those with diabetes live better with the condition. Simone is now a Credentialed Diabetes Educator.

Simone is passionate about preventing diabetes, as well as supporting people with diabetes, including gestational diabetes. She believes in integrating clinical care and self management education, skills training and disease specific information to motivate patients to understand their diabetes and make informed lifestyle and treatment choices. She advises clients on how to use their medicines effectively and safely and monitor and interpret their blood glucose patterns.
