Simon Hughes MBBS, BSc, FRCA, EDCM, FFICM

Dr Simon Hughes is a consultant anaesthetist with an interest in major trauma and pre-hospital emergency medicine. Dr Hughes trained in both anaesthesia and intensive care medicine in Oxford and Sydney and with the Royal Air Force. He was a wing commander with the RAF, served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and developed an interest in anaesthesia for major trauma. He has also been involved in pre-hospital care on the air ambulance in Sydney, Oxford, Afghanistan and now with the Hampshire and Isle of Wight air ambulance.
