Simon Heath PhD

Simon Heath leads the Bioinformatics Development and Statistical Genomics team and is the Manager of the Functional Genomics unit. He studied Zoology at the University of Oxford, and obtained his Ph.D. in Quantitative Genetics from the University of Edinburgh in 1995. From 1995 to 1997 he was a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Statistics at the University of Washington, Seattle. In late 1997 he joined the Rockefeller University in New York as an Assistant Professor in the Laboratory of Statistical Genetics, later moving in 1999 to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York as an Assistant Member.
