Simon Delagrave BSc, PhD

Simon Delagrave, Ph.D., works in the Research department at Sanofi Pasteur North America where he is currently head of virology research. Ongoing projects include the study of vaccines against RSV and influenza, as well as other pathogens, and the characterization of human antibody repertoires. Previously, Simon led the team responsible for the development of a candidate vaccine against genital herpes which recently completed phase I clinical testing, and participated in the development of the licensed vaccine IMOJEV against Japanese encephalitis. Simon has also worked on the directed evolution of enzymes and on the isolation of useful variants of the green fluorescent protein (GFP). He has degrees in biochemistry from McGill University and MIT.
