Simon D. Shorvon MA, MD, FRCP

Simon Shorvon is Professor of Clinical Neurology and Clinical SubDean, UCL Institute of Neurology, University College London, and Consultant Neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (Queen Square, London). Medical training was in Cambridge and London, and postgraduate training in London, Oxford, Manchester and Virginia USA. His previous posts have included the Chairmanship of University Dept of Neurology in University College London, and the Medical Directorship of the National Society for Epilepsy (Chalfont). He has been a member of the ILAE Executive Committee for the past 16 years, previous ILAE Vice-President and is currently co-Editor-in-Chief of EPILEPSIA. He was awarded the 2008 European Epileptology Award and the 2010 Lennox Award by the American Epilepsy Society.
