Dr. Khangura is currently a clinical assistant professor with the Department of Paediatrics, UBC. She is a medical graduate of the University of British Columbia. She completed her specialty training in paediatrics and subspecialty training in paediatric emergency medicine at BC’s Children’s Hospital.

Since joining the staff in the emergency department in 2004, Dr. Khangura has been the education coordinator for undergraduate and postgraduate trainees rotating through the emergency department. She has also served as the UBC site representative in the Paediatric Emergency Research Group of Canada (PERC), a national research network aimed at collaborative research among paediatric emergency departments in Canada.

A new found passion is international health. In the past two years, Dr. Khangura has served as the paediatrician on a plastic surgery team with Healing the Children Northeast, a non-profit organization based in the United States that donates medical and surgical care to children in need.
