Dr. de Melo provides comprehensive care in all aspects of gastroenterology, including, but not limited to, high-quality colorectal cancer screening, and interventional endoscopic procedures, such as endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic mucosal resection, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, cholangioscopy, deep enteroscopy, radiofrequency ablation to name a few.

Dr. de Melo research focuses primarily on clinical research. Currently, Dr. de Melo is working on techniques to assist in the endoscopic evaluation of patients with the chronic liver disease, such as endoscopic-ultrasound guided liver biopsies, endoscopic ultrasound-guided portal pressures. His other interests include medical education and endoscopic education, and gastrointestinal bleeding. Dr. de Melo hopes that his research will advance the treatment and care of patients with the chronic liver disease.
