Silvia Maier MSc, PhD

Silvia U Maier currently works at the Laboratory for Social and Neural Systems Research - SNS Lab, University of Zurich, and is a Research Fellow at the Translational Neuromodeling Unit of the ETH and University of Zurich. Silvia does research in Neuroscience, Neuroeconomics, and Cognitive Science. Her recent publication 'Higher Heart-Rate Variability Is Associated with Ventromedial Prefrontal Cortex Activity and Increased Resistance to Temptation in Dietary Self-Control Challenges.' shows how resting HRV measures of a person can help improve predictions of self-control.
