Silvia Daher PhD

Silvia Daher is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. She holds a degree in Medicine from the Faculdade de Medicina da Fundação Universitária do ABC, a Master's in Microbiology and Immunology, and a Ph.D. in Pediatrics and Sciences Applied to Pediatrics from the Federal University of São Paulo (1993). Associate Professor at the Department of Obstetrics at the Federal University of São Paulo. Assistant Coordinator of the Dean of Extension (2009-2011) Assistant Coordinator of the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research (2011-2013), Coordinator of the Probationary Internship Assessment Commission since 2016; Coordinator of the Life Sciences Technical Committee since 2013. She works in the area of ​​Immunology of Pregnancy, with emphasis on cellular response and immunogenetic factors in Gestational Diabetes Mellitus and Obesity. His line of research also involves the molecular and cellular aspects of maternal-fetal interaction during implantation and placentation. Associate Editor of the American Journal of Reproductive Immunology since 2014; member of the editorial board of the Journal of Reproductive Immunology, consultant for funding agencies (CNPq, FAPESP, FAPEMIG) and several national and international journals.
