Siavash Piran MD, MSc, FRCPC

Dr. Siavash Piran graduated from the University of Ottawa medical school in 2011. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Ottawa and Hematology at McMaster University.

He holds a Master of Science degree in Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology from the University of Toronto and is currently completing a Master of Science degree in Health Research Methodology at McMaster University. Dr. Piran is currently a hematologist at Trillium Health Partners. He is also an assistant professor at the University of Toronto. His CanVECTOR project is a pilot study on thromboprophylaxis for patients with spinal cord injury comparing low-molecular-weight heparin with apixaban.
