Dr. Jabbari earned his MD at the University of Michigan and inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. He was recruited to the University of California San Francisco, serving as Resident in Chief.

Dr. Jabbari was appointed to Assistant Professor at the Chicago Medical School, and currently practices in San Diego, CA, as the Medical Director of the Laurel Amtower Cancer Institute.

Dr. Jabbari contributes regularly to television and media outlets as an expert commentator. His advocacy work also includes leadership positions in health policy, government relations, and charitable foundations. He was the invited physician speaker for Susan G. Komen's 2019 annual More Than Pink gala.

Dr. Jabbari has published nine authoritative textbook chapters and 21 peer-reviewed journal articles in various cancers and advanced medical technologies. Dr. Jabbari is the current principal investigator of several on-going prospective clinical trials in oncology, and actively serves as an expert reviewer for several scientific journals. He is a regular invited speaker for national and international scientific and medical meetings, including as an invited speaker at the 2016 and the 2017 Australian and New Zealand Royal Academy of Radiology/Radiation Oncology (RANZCR), and moderating the Presidential Symposium of the American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) 2009 annual meeting.

Dr. Jabbari currently serves as an invited member of the American Radium Society (ARS)/American College of Radiology (ACR) Appropriateness Criteria Brain Committee, the authoritative international body for the formulation of expert evidence-based guidelines for the treatment of brain tumors.

Dr. Jabbari has been elected by San Diego physicians for San Diego Magazine’s “Top Doctor-Physicians of Exceptional Excellence” award in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021. He is also a finalist for the American Cancer Society's Inaugural Cancer Care Champions of the Year Awards.
