Dr. Shukti Chakravarti, Professor of Medicine (Gastroenterology division), Ophthalmology and Cell Biology studies extracellular matrix mediated regulation of inflammation and tissue homeostasis in the eye and inflammatory bowel diseases.
Dr. Chakravarti holds a bachelor's degree from Lady Brabourne College and a master's and PhD from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh before joining the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2000. She is the section Editor for Experimental Eye Research and is on the Editorial board of PlosOne.
