Dr. Shreya Patel received her doctorate of pharmacy from MCPHS University-Boston and completed a post-doctoral residency training at Penn Medicine Princeton Health (formerly known as University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro). After completing her training, Dr. Patel joined Touro College of Pharmacy as an assistant professor of pharmacy practice. During her last three years of tenure at the program, she was appointed as the director of the teaching certificate program and established their post-graduate year 1 and year 2 residency programs.

Dr. Patel’s specialty is in cardiovascular pharmacotherapy and she worked with a team of interdisciplinary healthcare professionals in the cardiac care unit for Mt. Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital. Dr. Patel joined Fairleigh Dickinson’s School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2015 and teaches various integrated pharmacotherapy courses. She serves as an associate editorial team lead for the American College of Cardiology-Geriatric Cardiology topical collection. And more recently she has been invited to serve as the cardiology section editor for APhA’s Pharmacotherapy First disease state modules.

Dr. Patel has published her work in the American Journal of Pharmacy Education, Journal of Pharmacy Practice, and Journal of Cardiovascular Translational Research. Dr. Patel is a registered pharmacist for the state of New Jersey and New York and a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist.
