Shinichiro Okamoto MD, PhD

Dr. Okamoto is Professor of Medicine at Keio University School of Medicine, and Director of Hematology Service at Keio University Hospital in Tokyo, Japan. His clinical and research work is focused on the treatment for a variety of hematologic malignancies and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. As the Chairman of the Board of Directors, he is currently leading two Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation Societies; JSHCT (Japan Society of Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation) and APBMT (Asia Pacific Blood and Marrow Transplantation Group), and contribute to fostering and harmonizing the global activity of hematopoietic cell transplantation.
