Dr. Shigeo Horie is a surgeon-scientist of Juntendo University Graduate School of Medicine. He graduated from the University of Tokyo in 1985. He did his research and clinical fellowship at the UT Southwestern medical center at Dallas studying renal physiology and clinical transplant. He joined the faculty of the University of Tokyo, National Cancer Center Hospital, and Kyorin University. He focused on oncological surgery and translational research. In 2003, he became the chairman of the Department of Urology of Teikyo University. He initiated the first Men’s Health clinic in Japan. In 2012, He was appointed as the chairman of the Department of Urology of Juntendo University. He specialized in neuro-oncology, robotic surgery, Men’s Health. Especially he is a leading robotic surgeon in Tokyo.
