Shigenori Ito MD, PhD

Dr. Shigenori Ito works as a cardiologist at the Division of Cardiology, Sankuro Hospital, Toyota, Japan since February 2016. Dr. Ito also works as a director at Japan Cardiovascular Imaging Core Laboratory (J-CICL, Tokyo, Japan) in many interventional randomized controlled trials. He works as a medical supervisor of Running Magazine “Running Style”. Dr. Ito completed his M.D. from Nagoya City University in 1984 and his PhD (Cardiology) from Nagoya City University Graduate School of Medical Sciences in 1994. He has vast experience in cardiology, especially interventional cardiology (coronary and peripheral artery disease) and cardiac rehabilitation. He worked at a few affiliations of Nagoya City University from 1984-1996 as a cardiologist. He was a research scientist at the Washington (DC) Hospital Center (Interventional Cardiology) from 1996-1998. He worked at Nagoya City University as an instructor (1998-2001). He was a director at Toyohashi Heart Center (2001-2004), at Moriyama Municipal Hospital (2004-2007), and at Nagoya City East Medical Center (2007-2016).
