Sheryl L. Chow BS, PharmD, FCCP, FAHA, FHFSA, BCPS

Dr. Sheryl L. Chow is associate professor of Pharmacy Practice, College of Pharmacy, at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. She received her BS in pharmacy at University of Connecticut, post-baccalaureate PharmD at State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNY-Buffalo), and completed her residency at Kaleida Health Systems/ SUNY-Buffalo. She is involved in all aspects of acute care cardiovascular pharmacotherapy with an emphasis on heart failure practice and research.

Her clinical activities focus on the treatment of heart failure at Centinela Medical Center in Inglewood, CA. Her research includes both clinical and translational studies in cardiovascular pharmacology, heart failure, biomarkers, and stem cells. Prior to her faculty appointment at Western University, she was a clinical coordinator in cardiology and internal medicine at Kaleida Health Systems and adjunct faculty at the Schools of Pharmacy and Medicine at SUNY-Buffalo.

Dr. Chow has authored several key articles papers in Pharmacotherapy related to heart failure and complementary and alternative medicine in cardiovascular disease, in addition to retrospective and prospective (randomized) clinical studies published in Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, International Journal of Cardiology, Journal of Cardiac Failure and Circulation Heart Failure. She was also a recipient of the ACCP investigator development award.
