Sherine Salib is the internal medicine clerkship director and an associate professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Dell Medical School. She teaches residents and medical students in the clinical setting and serves on the Peer Review Committee, the Clinical Competency Committee, the Resident Evaluation Committee and is chair of the Health Care Delivery Subcommittee. She has previously served as a member and IRB vice-chair of the Institutional Review Board and as a member on the hospital’s Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, the Professionalism and the Communication Curriculum Committees, the Internal Medicine Promotions and Tenure Committee and the steering committee for the “Resident as Teacher” workshop series. Salib is also a mentor and career adviser for residents and medical students.
She graduated in 1993 from the University of Bristol Medical School, went on to become a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of London in 1996 and played a central role in building the curricula and school policies for Dell Med. Salib has had several recent publications in journals including Academic Medicine and the British Medical Journal. They include articles describing innovative educational endeavors, workshops and curricula. Recently published interviews regarding her work with residents and medical students can be found in both regional and national articles.
