Sherif Abdel-fattah MD, MSc, FRCOG

Dr. Sherif Abdel-Fattah is a consultant in Obstetrics & Fetal Medicine at Southmead Hospital in Bristol and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol. His research interests are in fetal medicine with a focus on fetal anemia, fetal infections, prenatal diagnosis, and free fetal DNA. His clinical interests include obstetrics ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, fetal therapy, and management of high-risk pregnancies. He is an active member of several national and international societies in the field of ultrasound and fetal medicine and is regularly invited to speak at international conferences.

Sherif Abdel-Fattah is also regularly involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. He contributes extensively to the MSc in Reproduction and Development run by the University of Bristol, through which he supervised several theses and research projects and was one of six module leaders from 2003 to 2008. He is regularly invited to participate in international MRCOG part 2 courses and is a member of the DRCOG sub-committee. He is also a College Tutor and member of the Severn Deanery Specialist Training Committee.
