Dr. Sherif A. Mahmoud is the Regional Head of Healthcare for AXA in the Gulf since December 2012, in charge of operational transformation, ensuring cost effectiveness and providing patient support. Dr. Sherif has strong experience in Six Sigma, lean transformation, clinical governance, FWA and Healthcare partnership.
In his earlier role, Dr. Sherif worked as the Head of Clinical Governance and Healthcare Partnership for Bupa Arabia. Prior to this, he was the HSE assistant manager for Samsung and was an emergency expert for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in addition to his professional career as a Medical Doctor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Dr. Sherif earned a doctorate in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Ain Shams University in Cairo along with a diploma in Top Quality Management from the American University in Cairo, Egypt. He is also the holder of a Six Sigma Master Black Belt Certificate.
